Will Budget charge extra when you come out?

Whilst other companies often hike up the price when they arrive at the booking, Budget do not. Thus our quotes are solid unless you need some extra carpet, rug, tile or upholstery cleaning services.

How much advanced notice should I give Budget for cleaning services?

A few days or more notice is best. That way we can guarantee you a booking. However, Budget can often book steam cleaning jobs for customers on the same day, or for the next day.

Can Budget guarantee that all stains will come out?

Budget can remove nearly every stain, even red wine and coffee! However, stains can sometimes become permanent. The occurrence of permanent stains can occur if stains have been left for too long a time, or if stains contain powerful dyes. These dyes can re-colour the material of the carpets or seats. Also, if stains are scrubbed into the carpet when they occur, this can push the colours from the stain into the fibres. That is why it is important to absorb and dilute, then repeat, when a spill occurs on the carpet or seat.

How can I deal with spills that stain the carpet?

Firstly, do not scrub at the stained area. Rather, put an absorbent cloth over the area and press down. Repeat this until you have absorbed most of the spill. From this point, you can apply a spot treatment (spray or powder) and press down with a fresh cloth or paper towel. Repeat this process as needed. Also, you can use a damp cloth to continue absorbing and diluting the spill. Repeat the process again if necessary. If the stain does not come out, you will need to have the area professionally steam cleaned. Even if you cannot completely remove the stain immediately with this process, it will usually prevent the substance from permanently staining the carpet, so that when we attend to steam clean the carpet, the remainder can be safely removed from the carpets, leaving them as good as new.

Can I walk on my carpets straight away?

Yes, you can walk on your carpets immediately. Your carpets will only be slightly damp after cleaning. You can walk on them as long as your shoes are clean. However, we do recommend that you remove shoes and avoid walking on the carpets immediately after cleaning if it can be avoided.
